Greetings,

I’m happy to share that the long-awaited capital sewer capacity project will be getting underway soon. The Yardley Borough Sewer Authority (YBSA) has selected Wexcon as the contractor, and the project is expected to take one year to complete. We hope to have the full construction schedule by mid-October, and I’ll share the specific details with you as soon as they are available.

In the meantime, here’s what you can expect over the next few weeks:

Tuesday, September 29 – Site visit: YBSA’s consulting engineers, G&A, will meet with Wexcon and its drilling subcontractors at the project’s drilling sites: near 41 Brown St., at 62 N. Main St., and at 65 N. Main St. This is a preliminary meeting so everyone involved can see the sites in person. Afterward, G&A and Wexcon will walk the western portion of the project, from the Yardley Friends Meeting House to Sandy Run Road.

Monday, October 5 – Test digs: Wexcon will return to Yardley to complete test digs for soil samples throughout the project area.

Coming weeks – Surveying: G&A surveyors will begin staking out the easements and construction areas.

That’s all the information I have for now, but I’ll keep you updated as new details come in. This and future emails will be distributed to both easement holders and adjacent properties.
